Your First Visit
On your first visit, you will be asked to fill out our
initial patient paperwork (you may save some time by downloading and filling out our initial patient paperwork from this website and bringing it with
you for your first appointment). Dr. Hengel will then go through a full history, as well as a history of your current problem.
A physical examination will follow. Next, Dr. Hengel will determine if further testing is necessary. For example,
should diagnostic imaging be necessary (ex: X-Rays, MRI, etc.), Dr. Hengel will refer you to the appropriate diagnostic imaging
center.

Following the history and physical examination, Dr. Hengel will recommend a course of treatment. Dr. Hengel will explain the various types of therapy and how long treatment will take. He can perform your first adjustment on this visit. Of course, no treatment will be performed without talking to you about it first. We want you to feel comfortable. If you’re not a candidate for chiropractic care, Dr. Hengel will refer you to the appropriate specialist. Dr. Hengel has an extensive list of doctors he works with, including orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and primary care physicians.
